As she fills in for the vacationing Rob Williams for the rest of the week, here are a few interesting tidbits I’ve learned about Mallory.

1. Even though she was just learning to walk when the tunes topped the charts, Mallory Nicholls is a HUGE 80’s music fan.  She knows tons more songs and singers than I do, and I was learning calculus back then.

2. Mallory loves cats.  LOVES cats.  Iggy Pop and Hermie Stuart live at her place.

3. Mallory’s dad is a meteorologist.  In other words, she was born to do the weather.  Her sister is a teacher, no doubt determined to avoid

4. Sometimes when she does the weather, Mallory is wearing big and fluffy house shoes.  Why?  Comfort, of course.  Plus, they’re not as loud as high heels when she races from the Storm Center to the news desk after delivering the Accurate Storm Team 11 Forecast.

5.  It’s Nicholls… with 2 L’s.

And here’s a bonus.  Yes - she is just as nice in person as she appears on TV.
